Captain Cabbage and the Wild Ferments

We believe in relying on what Mother Nature has provided us with! All of our vegetable ferments are made using "Wild Fermentation" techniques: by using the freshest organic and chemical-free ingredients, we are able to harness the power of pre-existing naturally selected bacteria to ferment our vegetables. Through this process we create a product that is teeming with life, natural acidity, crunch and delicious flavour. No shortcuts are taken and vegetables are allowed to fully mature, maximising probiotic content and the amount of digestive enzymes.

This tasty little number packs a punch with a beautiful blend of South Korean inspired ingredients. Our Kimchi is a very well balanced ferment, surprisingly versatile and very addictive.

Ginger & Turmeric
Ginger & Turmeric Kraut:
The newest addition to the range and certainly not lacking originality, our Ginger & Turmeric Kraut is absolutely delicious. Combining organic ginger root, organic Turmeric and organic black pepper, we have created a product with a very long list of health benefits. The cumin and coriander gives this ferment a distinct Indian feel.

Serving Suggestions:
A great way to add depth and spice to a dish. Serve with roast cauliflower, a curry, through lentils or on a cheese board.
Apple and Dill
Apple & Dill Kraut:
With only 4 ingredients this ferment is perfect in its simplicity and is a welcome addition to any dish in need of a bit of freshness. Organic Granny Smith apples and fresh dill combined with cabbage and Murray River Salt to create a crisp, vibrant condiment.

Serving Suggestions:
A local cafe puts it on their traditional Ruben Sandwich - delicious!! It also pairs well with smoked fish, green leafy vegetables, mashed potato and any protein.
*We consciously source our ingredients from local farmers who use sustainable, pesticide-free growing techniques. We want our veggies grown as nature intended, not covered in chemicals and we’re sure you feel the same way. Thank you for supporting real, local food.

On the stall:
The farmers market gives us a bit freedom to work with the seasons to create delicious probiotic rich food and drinks. Now, located on the farm, the possibilities are endless. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for information on upcoming seasonal products.
